Shattered Voices

Eden Walker, tormented by dissociative identity disorder (DID), wakes in a daze at a bus stop with no memory of how she got there. Her inner alter “Red” protects her from perceived threats, while “Lily” surfaces with innocence. She receives help from a kind young pastor, Caleb, who senses her fragility. This marks the beginning of their unexpected connection. 

Pastor Caleb struggles with burnout and feelings of inadequacy. His encounter with Eden triggers a deep concern, but also a sense of divine assignment. He wrestles with past trauma and self-doubt, unsure if he can be the one to help someone as broken as Eden.

Eden battles internal chaos as her alter “Red” takes control. A flashback reveals hints of ritual abuse she endured in a cult compound. Her mind fractures further as the trauma resurfaces, blurring the lines between memory and present.

Eden attends Caleb’s church. The environment overwhelms her, but Caleb’s sermon—centered on healing and the prodigal daughter—reaches through her defenses. She flees before the end, unsure whether to trust the hope stirring inside her.

Eden writes a letter to her younger self—Lily—offering comfort. This act sparks a shift in her fractured psyche. Meanwhile, Caleb confides in a mentor about Eden and his desire to help her, though he fears he’s not strong enough.

Eden begins counseling, revealing bits of her past. Her therapist guides her through grounding exercises, but Red resists. A violent confrontation with a stranger nearly pushes Eden to the edge—until Caleb unexpectedly shows up to protect her.
